International Festival of Creativity Golden Drum supports exchange of the most creative ideas. We are honored that the transformation and growth of the Golden Drum festival was recognized by Borut Pahor, the President of the Republic of Slovenia. "Golden Drum has been placing Slovenia among the greatest European festival countries for more than 23 years. Every year, it brings delegates from more than 40 countries, from the advertising industry and beyond, and offers them the environment in which they exchange their most creative thoughts,” says Borut Pahor.
With the honorary patronage, the President of the Republic of Slovenia affirms that the festival has also a great importance for Slovenia, placing the country in the global context, not only as one of the most beautiful European countries, but also as an important scene of the professional and educational events.
We will announce the members of the Best Piece Competition Jury, presided by Bruno Bertelli, Global Chief Creative Officer at Publicis Worldwide shortly.
The Golden Drum Festival was created during the period, characterized by the opening of the Central and Eastern European economies to the free market. The rapid transfer of market-oriented knowledge from the West, was refined by the local traditions and features, which molded a unified mental and conceptual environment. The experience from the comparable environment was propitious for the development of the industry in the geographical entity which was then encouragingly referred to as the New Europe.
“The thirst for the continual development and the economic crisis changed the attitude towards the economy in several democracies; however, in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, well-known concepts of growth and consumerism are still predominating”, says Mojca Briščik, the president of Golden Drum, and adds that the Golden Drum Festival also follows the reformed attitude by supporting the exchange of the most creative ideas. “For the world of tomorrow, we all need new approaches that will exceed the patterns of the economy of yesterday. For this reason, we will remain the festival of creativity of the New Europe.”
