Drummers’ community event: Walk that thin line, baby!

Location: Emerald Hall IA Laboratory with Sonce.net:

Zoran Savin with Drummers

Drummers Community is made by the people and for the people. They dare to talk about the problems advertising agencies and advertisers are facing and how the economic crisis caught us all off guard. Drummers are not afraid to point out the mistakes practice made during this difficult time and offers the »behind the scenes« perspective of the festival. Furthermore, it became so popular we decided to include the brainstorming discussion on Golden Drum festival program.

The speakers are going to be selected by the Drummers community, although all the participants will be included in the happening. The online debate will officially take place in an offline community surrounding. »Walk that thin line, baby! «, will definitely represent one of the most provocative debates held on festival. In today's communication (especially online) we are confronted with numerous option of communication (official, unofficial, guerilla...) typically supported with some messages that not necessarily promote our product or brand. On one hand, we know that there is a real potential to have some good and honest conversation with our customers, but on the other… We need to sell. So, today’s advertisers and agencies are forced to walk on a thin line everyday while communicating with the “customer”. Or are they? Is it better to take off the mask and speak directly, with no hidden agenda? Is being honest the answer? Or do we need to break up the rules (again)?

Topics include:
How should advertisers behave on Facebook? How can we build a brand personality? What is the role of PR? Can your relationship with the “customer” be real? Can we even think about step in their homes? Will they let us in? What has recession to do with all that questions?
