Will Rust
Title: Executive Creative Director, Ogilvy Group Hungary & Ukraine
Will Rust got into advertising through necessity after being fired by McDonalds in 1992. Starting out as a typographer at EuroRSCG he quickly moved through the ranks of design & art direction at several agencies including Lintas, DMB&B and Leo Burnett, gaining his first Creative Director position at Ogilvy & Mather Prague, the largest agency in the Czech Republic.
A leap of faith took him to Ukraine in 2008, where he became ECD of Ogilvy & Mather Kiev. During his tenure, the agency rose to the top of the national creative rankings winning Agency of the Year at several regional festivals and almost 200 national and international advertising and design awards in just two years. Since January 2010 he has also been ECD of Ogilvy & Mather Budapest.
In August 2010, Ogilvy Ukraine was awarded WPP's Creative Agency of the Year in CEE while Ogilvy Hungary came in a close second. In 2011, Ogilvy Hungary was awarded the title of Agency of the Year at the Hypnosis national advertising awards, while Ogilvy Ukraine won CEE Agency of the Year at the Golden Hammer awards
