Is it just pure sex?

02. June 2009

Are brands really in love with their customers or is it just pure sex?

Prof. Bluemelhuber, Director of CEREM and professor for Euro Marketing at the Free University of Brussels gives some useful hints. And maybe the topic will be more than hot when TBWA will publish it’s Brand Report next fall.

But you don’t need to wait to make you choice. Watch the video and decide:
What side are you on: love or porn?

If brands REALLY love us, why do they CHEAT on us ?

Look what they've done to my song:
The "Starkization" of legendary Parisian restaurants, Lacoste wavering from Gangsta to Neo-Yup (the Crocoidle himslef would have wept, were he alive to witness this), the Virginization of everything British (when we all know you can't get your Virginity back)…

But I still love you, Brands, even if you're so tough with me…

Hey, I watched the video: TBWA is a great agency, but … why does Professor Watzizname speak like Arnold Schwarzenegger?? I don't know about you, but this, for me, cuts quite a bit on his intellectual creds: "DO YOU WANT TO BE LAUGHED ??!!" says the Professor… he means "laughed at", perhaps? Besides, what's the point, really? A bit thin, innit, arbitrating between love and porn? LOVE and SEX would have made more sense. Sorry, I mean "LAUGH and SEX"…

Brands cheating on us?! :O) ..they do disappoint us from time to time. The good thing is that we can dump them when ever they don't satisfy us any more....

Uhm... Microsoft already told us about the advertiser-consumer relationship (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3qltEtl7H8 ... And we've heard about Love too (http://www.lovemarks.com/). Now we come to porno. Of course consumers shouldn't be f...ed. Advertising people and corporate CEO's are consumers too. Do you think they'll agree to be f...ed? Actually, the one between brands and consumers it's a transaction not a relationship (you sell - i buy). But maybe those "marriage-love-porno" are just male metaphores. There are a lot of women in the communications business. Maybe it's time for them to come up with something more creative.
