Nagrada Best ACT je izvirna nagrada, ki jo podeljuje žirija iz oglaševalcev, naročnikov za ideje, ki spremenijo naš pogled na svet. Letos jo sestavljajo štirje znani upravljavci trženja in znamke v velikih mednarodnih podjetjih. Predizbor del, ki jih bodo ocenjevali, bodo naredile žirije v posameznih devetih kategorijah Zlatega bobna. So, the final creative director is… the client, the advertiser. Let them have a saying at advertising festivals, too! At Golden Drum, we have the Client’s Jury for the Best Act Award. We asked members of the Clients jury about their opinion and attached you can read from two of them. Last year’s president and this year’s juror, Andrew Hammett from P & G says that he: “… will be focusing on the strength of the idea itself … Good ideas motivate consumers and are distinctive within the category – so those will be very important in my judging.”

Gost današnjega Sporočila za javnost je duhovit, pameten in prijazen Adrian Holmes, izvršni kreativni direktor, Y&R EMEA, predsednik glavne žirije festivala, za film, tisk, medije na prostem in radio, mojster pisane besede. Kot pravi v priloženem intervjuju, močno nasprotuje navideznim oglasom, ki se pojavljajo na oglaševalskih tekmovanjih: »Vedno sem se boril proti temu – zame je to zmagovanje s ponaredki, delo za naročnika, ki ne obstaja, delo, ki se ni nikoli zares pojavilo v javnosti, enakovredno goljufanju. To je kot zmagovanje z dopingom. Ali plačevanje s ponarejenim denarjem. In ko nas naročniki vidijo, kako si čestitamo za dela, ki so navidezna, ki niso nikoli obstajala, se upravičeno vprašajo, če živimo na istem planetu.« Na naša kratka vprašanja so nam odgovorili tudi avstrijski, slovaški in ruski kreativni direktorji Eduard Boehler, Rasto Michalik in Vasily Lebedov, člani žirije za film, tisk, medije na prostem in radio na letošnjem Zlatem bobnu. He is strongly against the scam or ‘ghost’ work that enters award shows: “I've always fought against this practice - to me winning awards with fake work, or work for clients that don't exist, or work that never actually appeared, is simply cheating. It's like using performance enhancing drugs in sport. Or paying for stuff with forged dollar bills. And when clients see us congratulating ourselves for producing this 'ghost' work, they really must wonder what planet we're on.” We also prepared short Q&A stories from Eduard Boehler, Rasto Michalik and Vasily Lebedov, members of the Golden Drum Film, Press, Outdoor and Radio jury.
