Golden Drum Lab: Upload Cinema presents “Messing with the Brand”

Messing with the Brand, one of this year`s LABs, will be led by Serge Fenenko, Managing Director, Novocortex, Netherlands. After Amsterdam, The Hague, Cannes and Kaiserslautern, Upload Cinema comes to Portoroz. Upload Cinema is a film club that takes the best web videos to the big screen. Each month, Upload Cinema presents inspiring and entertaining internet shorts around a certain theme (Visions of the Future, Saved by YouTube, The Art of Webcam etc).

Videos are submitted by club members, the best of them are selected by an editorial team and screened at movie theatres in the Netherlands and abroad.

In Portoroz, Serge will show us “Messing with the Brand” - one of the best programmes of Upload Cinema, screened on the Cannes Lions festival. The subject of “Messing with the Brand” is unauthorized, banned and spoof advertising.
After the screening, you will better understand how ads become viral and how online videos can become advertising.

About Serge Fenenko:

Serge Fenenko has more than 10 years experience in online marketing and advertising. He started his online career on the client side. Serge was responsible for online marketing and business development at the Dutch Rabobank. In 2005, he moved to the interactive advertising agency Novocortex. Novocortex is part of the Dutch M! Network that brings together online marketing expertise of 14 companies. Within the network, Novocortex is responsible for online campaigns and internet strategy audits. Serge Fenenko has won a number of awards of international advertising festivals, such as Golden Hammer, Golden Award of Montreux, Horizon Interactive Awards and Red Apple. Serge was a jury member at SpinAwards in the Netherlands, Kreatura in Poland, KIAF in Ukraine and The InterContinental Advertising Cup.
