The 3rd CUP's award ceremony on March 18 will be the first event of the 2010 ADFEST in Pattaya, and will simultaneously launch the 4th CUP cycle as well. Results will be presented at 2 major global ad portals ADFORUM and XIPAX, on The Cup web site and on the web sites of participating festivals ADFEST, FIAP, ADC*E and Golden Drum. All festivals will also hold special winners’ presentations at their events in the year 2010.
Golden Drum shortlisted entry/es made it into the exclusive The CUP Selection that has been cut down from more than 25.000 entries (of the regional festivals ADFEST, FIAP, ADC*E and the Golden Drum) to only 1.021 finalists of The Intercontinental Advertising Cup 2009.
The CUP jury, made of juries' presidents of the most important ad festivals of Asia-Pacific, Ibero-America and Europe, will first hand-pick 190 nominees (five per category) and then award 38 CUPs in competition groups Best of Product and Services, Best of Media, and Best of Admaking. And finally, among these 38 winners the best of the best of the 4 continents will be chosen to receive the GRAND CUP. See more on www.thecupawards.com.
However, the global crisis has severely hurt advertising festivals as well, which unfortunately can no longer bear the costs of global judging on their own. We therefore have to charge to all finalists who gained the exclusive right to compete in the Intercontinental Selection 120 Euros per each shortlisted entry as a fee for judging costs at the intercontinental level.
