Golden Drum just finished

the 17th Golden Drum, international advertising festival and media meeting ended with fireworks and gala party. Slovenian President awarded DDB&CO from Turkey the Golden Rose for the best agency of New Europe. The whole story is attached. Enclosed is also the speech by Mr. Jure Apih, founder and president of Golden Drum. Končal se je 17. Zlati boben

Z ognjemetom se je končal 17. mednarodni oglaševalski festival in medijski miting Zlati boben. Predsednik Slovenije je Zlato vrtnico za najboljšo agencijo Nove Evrope predal predstavnikom turške agencije DDB&CO. Slovenci smo bogatejši za dva Srebrna bobna, v kategoriji oblikovanje in art direkcija (Pristop) ter v kategoriji televizijski oglasi (Futura DDB). Celotna zgodba je dostopna v spodnji priponki, poleg pa je tudi govor g. Apiha, ob zaključku festivala.

The last day of the Golden Drum with the winners of the Golden Drum New European Awards

Today’s morning will be dedicated to best, fun commercials in one hall (Golden Drum finalists, ADC and Gunn Report) and to the independent agencies in the other. In the afternoon there will be a big Creative Academy Forum. Michael Conrad will talk to top professionals such as Akira Kagami, Milka Pogliani, Franco Moretti, Charlie Stjenberg, Olivier Altmann, Yonathan Dominitz, Bram de Rooij, Eliza Rogalski, Paul Jackson, Pietro Leone...). The whole program can be found here. In the evening, at 8.30 pm, there will be the Golden Drum New European Awards Ceremony with awards for best Film, Press, Outdoor, Radio, Archive Award for Student, Best Act Award, Brand Grand Prix Awards, Best PR Agency of the year, Best Agency in the Adriatic Region, Best Agency in the Baltic Region, Best Independent Agency, Golden Net Award, Golden rose for the best New European Agency of the year given by the President of Slovenia, Danilo Türk, followed by the Golden Drum Gala Party. Tretji dan Zlatega bobna se je začel in se bo končal slovensko

Prvo predavanje je bilo o novih trendih in rešitvah na področju inovativnosti, oblikovanja in trajnostnega razvoja (IEDC - Poslovno šolo Bled), končali pa bomo s koncertom skupine Laibach v Avditoriju Portorož. Vmes se bodo mdr. predstavili tudi 'Davidi' – slovenska podjetja, ki se uspešno bojujejo na mednarodnem trgu: Pipistrel, Studio Moderna, Fonda, Seaway .

THIRD DAY OF 17TH GOLDEN DRUM WITH LAIBACH

With last night's Golden Drum open Awards Ceremony festival turned into the second half. On stage the grand prix was celebrated by Russians from Leo Burnett for Lego in design & art direction category and Holland Euro RSCG for Volvo in interactive category. In media campaigns the happiest were in Shalmor Avnon Amichay / Y&R Interactive TEL AVIV who got 1 Gold and 2 Silver Drums out of 12 awards. Five Golden Drums in PR were given to Havas Media (UK), Traktor (Austria), ACG (Hungary), Turkcell Iletisim (Turkey) and Bison & Rose (Czech Republic). In advertising campaigns out of 120 entries only 10 got the Golden Watch. Best Piran Portoroz Poster Award went to Dima Tsapko and Anze Jereb Kaffeine Communications, Kiev, Ukraine.

17TH ADVERTISING FESTIVAL GOLDEN DRUM

The 17th Golden Drum, the international advertising festival and media meeting, started last night with a VIP dinner for the members of the jury and guest speakers. This year the main theme is Reconstruction. Organizers are expecting about 1.000 attendees from at least 35 countries. 34 jury members are judging almost 2.000 works already from yesterday.

ZAČEL SE JE 17. OGLAŠEVALSKI FESTIVAL ZLATI BOBEN

Z včerajšnjim VIP srečanjem pri cerkvi Svetega Jurija nad Piranom se je začel 17. mednarodni oglaševalski festival in medijski miting Zlati boben / Golden Drum, ki letos poteka pod naslovom Prenova / Reconstruction. Organizatorji pričakujejo okrog tisoč udeležencev iz vsaj 35 držav. 34 članov sedmih žirij, med katerimi so tudi trije slovenski predstavniki, že od včeraj ocenjuje skoraj 2.000 del, kolikor jih je letos prijavljenih na festival.

V soboto, 11. septembra se izteče podaljšan rok za prijavo del na 17. oglaševalski festival in medijski miting Zlati boben, ki bo letos potekal od 6. do 9. oktobra v Bernardinu. Kreativni umi so tako skoraj ostali brez priložnosti, da se še uvrstijo na kakšno tekmovanje. Skoraj. Kajti do 22. septembra imajo še čas, da odgovorijo na marketinške izzive za zeleni turizem, ki so jih v ta namen zastavila razvojno naravnana slovenska turistična podjetja. Izzivi so veliki, nagrade so zanimive, predstavitev najboljših pa bo 7. oktobra na Zlatem bobnu. Več je v priponki.

There is one more competition for the restless creative minds. Until September 22 there is still time to react to marketing challenges. Some of best Slovenian tourist companies are looking for innovative solutions for green marketing of their tourist destination. Challenges are big and awards are interesting. Gost današnjega Sporočila za javnost je duhovit, pameten in prijazen Adrian Holmes, izvršni kreativni direktor, Y&R EMEA, predsednik glavne žirije festivala, za film, tisk, medije na prostem in radio, mojster pisane besede. Kot pravi v priloženem intervjuju, močno nasprotuje navideznim oglasom, ki se pojavljajo na oglaševalskih tekmovanjih: »Vedno sem se boril proti temu – zame je to zmagovanje s ponaredki, delo za naročnika, ki ne obstaja, delo, ki se ni nikoli zares pojavilo v javnosti, enakovredno goljufanju. To je kot zmagovanje z dopingom. Ali plačevanje s ponarejenim denarjem. He is strongly against the scam or ‘ghost’ work that enters award shows: “I've always fought against this practice - to me winning awards with fake work, or work for clients that don't exist, or work that never actually appeared, is simply cheating. It's like using performance enhancing drugs in sport. Or paying for stuff with forged dollar bills.
