Digital PR Lab: The One That Got Away
Do you have a feeling that there's at least one digital phenomenon that fell into oblivion too soon? We do. All the time. Together we'll make a trip back and forth in time. With inspiration from the speech "Four Weddings and a Funeral" this workshop will give you the arguments why digital nostalgia is important, and how it can be used as a tool in your work. In a world where we're constantly moving on to the next thing and new always seem to be considered better than old, we propose digital nostalgia as a way to do even better work.First of all, we need to remember how the old Internet used to work. And yes, "old" can mean something that happened six months ago. Or six hours, with the speed we're moving in. To make sure that we don't forget these digital episodes, we'll make a memory wall together.
Second, participants will be encouraged to pick one digital gem from the wall and make a short argumentation why it's sad that this particular one got away and how it could be combined with digital technology of today to create something new & (hopefully) relevant.
