User ID and Password
- What are the User ID and Password?>
When registering on-line, you must use your company code (USER ID) and password. This code is generated by our information system and allows us to track all registrations. We prefer on-line registration. That way you can save a lot of time and avoid unnecessary typing mistakes. If you don't want to register on-line, you can print the necessary registration forms from our website. Please send all required materials along with the registration forms. - Where do I get a user ID and password?
If you do not know your company's user ID and password, you can request it on-line through the request form for new users or contact the Festival Office by e-mail at info@goldendrum.com and send us your full company address and e-mail. You will receive your user ID and password for on-line registration as soon as possible. The use of these codes is essential for registering on-line. - What if I've changed my company?
Please contact the Festival Office by e-mail at info@goldendrum.com with all your previous and new company details (name, address, position, telephone number, e-mail). - What if my user ID and password don't work?
The user ID must have 5 digits. For a user ID with only three or four digits, use zeroes in front. Make sure the caps lock is off. If the problem persists, please press the REFRESH button on your tool bar. For other issues, please contact the Festival Office at info@goldendrum.com and describe the problem.
Register On-Line
- I made a mistake. What do I do?
If the payment form has not been submitted yet, you can change all the data you’ve entered on-line. If your payment form has already been submitted, you should immediately contact the Festival Office by e-mail at info@goldendrum.com and give us the details. Changes must be sent via e-mail or fax as soon as possible. - Can I delete a previously registered person or entry?

Please register this person as a new person with the ADD PERSON button at the bottom of the personal participation form (step 1/3).
Fees
- Entry and personal registration fee
An entry fee is applicable for each individual entry, either competing as an independent work or part of a series (in the case of a series, a single entry or a whole series may receive a Golden Drum Award). It is the entrant's responsibility to cover shipping, bank transfer, custom duties or any other costs that may arise. The payment deadline for entry registrations and a lower personal participation fee is
7 September 2009. Registrations, payments and material received after the deadline will not be included in the competition, exhibition or festival catalogue.
Personal participation registration will, however, also be possible after 7 September 2009 and during the festival week. - Do we have to pay VAT?
Yes. All fees for entry registration and personal participation include 20% VAT, which is applicable to all entrants irrespective of their country of origin.
According to Slovenian legislation (VAT Act, harmonised with VAT Directive 2006/112/ES), we assume that services provided at the Golden Drum Festival are treated as services for which the place of taxation is the place where those services are physically carried out (Art. 52 (a) – VAT Directive). VAT applies to all services provided to non-taxable persons (persons not registered for VAT purposes). VAT also applies to services which according to the VAT Act take place in Slovenia, including services which are charged to taxable persons registered for VAT purposes in other EU member countries. (According to a special procedure, taxable persons can get a VAT refund from the Tax Administration).

The Slovenian VAT Act stipulates that a taxable person whose registered office is not located within the territory of Slovenia has, under certain conditions, the right to receive a refund of VAT charged for services by another taxable person within the territory of Slovenia.

After receiving all your registration forms, we will issue a pro-forma invoice that has to be settled before the festival. - When do we get the actual invoice?
Invoices will be issued automatically to entrants after the festival. Entrants requiring an invoice before the festival should contact the Festival Office at finance@soz.si. - What if the invoice data are wrong?
Please contact the Festival Office at finance@soz.si and let us know what the problem is. - How do we make the payment?

We accept American Express, Visa, Diners and MasterCard. If you suspect that your credit card has been compromised as a result of your transaction with us, please contact your credit card provider immediately. If at any time you would like to make a purchase but would rather give your credit card information over the telephone, you may do so.

- Is our order safe?
All of your personal information is encrypted before it is transmitted over the Internet. When you submit your personal information, you are taken to a secure web page. - What do I do if I have already paid but cannot visit the festival due to an emergency or "force majeur"?
Personal participation cancellation is possible only by written notification submitted before 29 September 2009. Administrative costs of EUR 50 will be charged, and the refund will be transferred after the festival. After this deadline, no refund is possible. To cancel your personal registration, please fill in the personal participation cancellation form and send it by e-mail to info@goldendrum.com or by fax to: +386 1 439 60 59.
If someone else will be attending the festival instead of you, please send written notification to info@goldendrum.com. - Can someone else pay for me?
Yes. In this case, please identify the company (company name and address) that is paying for you in the payment form under "invoice must be addressed to remitter (Bill to): *Company name and address; only if different from above"

- What are the entry conditions?
These are the conditions you have to fulfil in order to enter the competition. Please see details on the Eligibility & Conditions page. - What if we miss the deadline?
Registrations, payments and material received after the deadline (7 September 2009) will not be included in the competition, exhibition or festival catalogue. - What kinds of entries should I register?
Submit what you feel would best represent your work. Show your most significant work. - What material must I send with my entry registration?
You must strictly follow the technical instructions for each specific group separately. - In which groups and categories can we compete?

The following instructions must be strictly observed in order to receive your material and documentation. - Can we upload our entries?
Yes, entries can be uploaded through our on-line registration system. Please see the technical requirements for more information. - Can I cancel my entry if I have already registered?
Entries cannot be cancelled or removed from the festival in any way AFTER 11 September 2009.

- What is my photo needed for?
We need your photo for your personal identification card, which you receive when checking-in at the festival reception desk in Portorož. - What is an identification card?
This is your personal identification card for entering festival events. The identification card is not transferable or exchangeable. - What kind of photo and how do I send it?
Electronic photo: 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, JPEG file for PC, resolution 300 dpi. Send separate photos for each participant with the person’s name included in the file name. Please send photos by e-mail to info@goldendrum.com or upload your photo during the registration process. - Do I need a visa to enter Slovenia?
You need a visa to enter Slovenia if you are a citizen of one of the following countries: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Serbia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine or Uzbekistan. - How do I get an official invitation to apply for the visa?
To receive an official invitation from the Festival Office, fill in your personal data in the registration form for personal participation. We will send you an official invitation by post immediately after we receive your personal participation form.
Please note that the procedure for obtaining visa has been changed according to EU legislation and new security standards. Therefore, we recommend that you to apply for a visa at the Slovenian Embassy as soon as possible. If you don't know which embassy is competent for your country, please check the website of the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where you will find a list of all Slovenian embassies, diplomatic missions and consulates. - Do I get an official participation confirmation?
If your registration and payment is made by 7 September 2009, you will receive an official participation confirmation by fax or e-mail before the start of the festival. It is advisable to present this letter at the reception desk at the festival location in Portorož, where you will receive your identification card and the official Golden Drum information package. - Hotel booking
The organisers of the Golden Drum Festival cannot arrange accommodation during the festival. - Where can I get the information about the hotel?

For a direct transfer reservation from Ljubljana, Trieste, Venice, Treviso, Zagreb or Graz airport to Portorož, you can send an on-line request or complete the request for transfer and send it by fax, or send an e-mail with your data and arrival details to transfer@goldendrum.com. - How do I pay for transfer costs?
Transfer costs are payable to the driver upon your arrival. Without previous cancellation of an unneeded registered transfer, the cost of a one-way transfer will be charged.
