Marketing in a crisis was doubtlessly the hottest topic of industry gatherings in 2009. Instead of teaching only, we offered an active brainstorming for all delegates. More than ever we encouraged, indeed expected delegates' engagement, be it in the hall, be it via mobile or in advance with blog posts at the Golden Drum website – we expected creativity!

The opportunity to take part in joint search for solutions to the industry's most pressing issues of the moment and to share a platform with its most competent and experienced players was a key advantage of the Golden Drum Creative Academy 2009.

Agency networks took over their respective time-slots in the Golden Drum 2009 again as they did last year.

Their topic was Brainstorming. In much sharper economic situation one thing that flourished, though, was competition. Competition plaid harder and more offensively. And yes, if you are not innovative, competition will always be more creative than you!
