Fortune follows Fame

With the increasing plethora of communications channels we are all in danger of losing the plot.
We have seen briefs asking for a 'social media campaign', a 'Facebook campaign' or a 'microsite', which  all seem to be jumping on a bandwagon and generating a load of work ending up with not much more than sponsored entertainment.

Don't lose sight of the reason why you're doing what you're doing.

Make a brand Famous and fortune will follow. The brand will grow.
When you know what you want it famous for, then the channel will be easy to work out and it will make sense.
It might just be a Facebook campaign.
