Elliot Polak is an entrepreneur and authority on cross-cultural marketing. He is the Co-founder and CEO of Textappeal, a global transcreation specialist that provides translation for the advertising and marketing industries. World-leading brands work with Textappeal to deliver their messages across the boundaries of language and culture.
Textappeal has been featured in The New York Times, FT and BBC, and recently introduced the concept of “transcreation” to China. The consultancy also publishes global reports including Marketing in Recession and Digital Across Cultures which have been showcased in trade press around the world such as AdAge.
Elliot is a frequent speaker at industry events and contributes articles to industry journals such as Admap, Marketing, The Internationalist and Cream. He is the initiator of the IAA’s Global Marketing Summit, a member of the Cream Editorial Board and writes an authoritative blog on Culture Shocks. He is a member of the IAA, IOD and Luxury Marketing Council.
Elliot and his wife, Textappeal Co-founder and strategist Fabienne, support ACT responsible. They live in London with their daughter and twin boys. In his spare time he enjoys travelling, skiing, tennis, writing, playing the piano and juggling.
