Petteri Kilpinen
Senior Vice President, Innovation, TBWA\Europe
Mr. Kilpinen is the Vice President of Innovation at TBWA\Europe and at the same time CEO and Chairman of TBWA\Helsinki. According to recent advertising agency research, he is the most well known CEO and most wanted partner within the industry in Finland.
He is a radical and passionate innovator of the ad industry – challenging the old way of doing and selling creative work. In his mind creativity should be re-targeted at new platforms and places, to achieve its full potential: we are in the business of inspiring the audience, not filling media space.
Kilpinen is also a qualified management trainer. He has run over 50 marketing and management training programs and invitation only seminars about innovation in Finland, Russia and China. More than 10,000 people have taken part in them. He is in demand as a guest speaker at seminars all around Europe.
In his current role as Vice President of Innovation, he’s aiming to disrupt agencies, and turn conventional adversing agency models up-side down, to better utilise the huge range of new possibilities out there and create more fans for brands.
Kilpinen’s first book Liekeissä! (Managing in The Inspiration Economy) was published 2008. It went on to become one of the top selling business books in Finland in 2009. Kilpinen’s second book, New Gold Rush, about social media’s competitive edge and the digital revolution was published in February 2011.
Kilpinen lives in Espoo, near Helsinki, with his wife and 5 (!) lively sons.
